Sevā Feeding Initiative

Plessislaer Arya Samaj Sevā Feeding Initiative usually takes place on the 1st Saturday of every month

In 2022/2023, our feeding project took place twice a month. More than 1200 platters of hot meals were distributed to our needy community. Due to losing a major sponsor, a decision was taken to continue the initiative on a smaller scale until new sponsorships were secured. Unfortunately we have been unable to secure further sponsorships. However, by the grace of the Almighty, we are continuing our feeding project, albeit on a smaller scale. We currently (2023/2024), distribute approximately 550 platters of prepared food delivered by our 5 x teams of dedicated members to 132 homes. On 'Seva Saturdays' our dedicated Samaj members including our youth group, gather to assist with the packing and distribution.

Promotion of the Hindi Language and Culture

Since inception our members have always been actively involved in promotion of the Indian Language and Culture by participating in Music, Dance, Eisteddfods, Cultural shows and the various annual festivals.
